- In 1924, the Jewish community (Orthodox and Reform) of
Laredo purchased a plot of land.
- By 1936, the two communities split their assets.
The lot to the Reform Community and the funds to the
Orthodox Community.
- The Reform Jewish Community retained the name: "B'nai
Israel". Building dedication: 1939. Next to it, a
Jewish Community Center, with a Sunday school (1943 -
1969) for both Reform and Orthodox Communities. B'nai
Israel Congregation was closed on 2010, due to lack of
funding.
- The Orthodox Jewish Community formed Congregation
Agudas Achim, later affiliated with the
Conservative movement. They rented different places until
1945.
- In 1945, Agudas Achim purchased and
renovated a former army base building. In 1969 Agudas
Achim added a religious school
- Both Jewish communities shared the use of the Jewish
Cemetery and formed together a Sunday School ( since
1943).
