Bimah in the Dubrovnik synagogue. The synagogue, built in 1408, still stands despite the heavy damage it suffered during the Serbia-Croatia war in 1991.

At 9 Ivan Filipović Street is the location of a sacral object owned by the Jewish community Rijeka - the Rijeka Synagogue. Till recently, not many citizens of Rijeka knew about the Rijeka Synagogue which represents an important building of both Jewish and Croatian architectural heritage, and which is therefore registered as one of the immovable cultural assets of Croatian Ministry of Culture. The Osijek synagogue was partly destroyed by the German invading forces. Three days after the German occupation, local Croatians and ethnic Germans joined the German troops and helped demolish the building.

Split Synagogue (Sephardic)

The Split synagogue, dating back to the beginning of the sixteenth century, is still in use today. SPLIT SYNAGOGUE, CROATIASituated at the entrance to the former ghetto, within the walls of the northwestern part of Diocletian's palace, the building had been a church before it was rented and later sold to the Jews.
