The place is called Juechen - I was born
there and visited the place in 1974. My grandfather is buried there.
In the village ,about 18 km north west of Cologne.
up to the 1930+ there was a synagoge
serving the jewish inhabitants in the area - it was apparently
destroyed by the Nazies because I checked on my visit there.
If you ask at the
municipality they will guide
you there.
there should be about 40 to 50 graves
there The more recent one goes by the name of a Albert Lazarus (my
grandfather). The jews came there with the
Romans who built the roads toward Holland. Jucunda or Juechen was a
labourer camp. Jüchen
