CHANA’S CARDAMOM-MAPLE
GLAZED SALMON
|
INGREDIENTS: |
|
·
1 lb. Salmon Filet, “de-boned” & filleted
|
|
·
¼ cup Maple Syrup (KP) |
|
·
2 tsp. Cardamom, ground (KP) |
|
·
1 tsp. Smoked Paprika (KP) |
|
·
Cayenne Pepper, pinch (KP) |
|
·
Sea Salt, to taste |
|
·
Pepper, freshly ground, to taste |
|
INSTRUCTIONS: |
|
1.
Preheat oven to 450°F .
|
|
2.
In a small bowl combine maple
syrup, cardamom, paprika, cayenne and a bit
of freshly ground pepper.
|
|
3.
Whisk until mixture is smooth.
|
|
4.
Adjust to taste.
|
|
5.
Arrange salmon filet on a
cutting board. |
|
6.
Cut into pieces, preferable
sizes. |
|
7.
Brush syrup mixture evenly
over the salmon filets.
|
|
8.
Place a large cast iron
skillet into the oven and allow it to heat
up for about five minutes while the salmon
rests. |
|
9.
Place the salmon in the
preheated skillet (scale-side down) and cook
for about 10 minutes.
|
|
10.
Brush more glaze onto the
salmon. |
|
11.
Cook for an additional 3-5
minutes until the salmon is cooked to your
liking. |
YIELDS:
1 lb. salmon
