SHAVUOT KOSHER RECIPES |

|
INGREDIENTS: |

6 Tablespoons butter
-
1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 kilo fresh mushrooms, chopped
-
3 Tablespoons flour
-
3 cups parve soup
-
1 bay leaf
-
pinch freshly ground pepper
-
200 ml. fresh or “amid” sweet cream

INSTRUCTIONS: |
- Melt butter in a heavy pan over medium heat. Add onions and stir until onions are translucent.
- Add chopped mushrooms and cook, stirring another 4-5 minutes.

Remove pan from heat and blend in flour.
Add the soup slowly, stirring constantly.

Add bay leaf and pepper.

Return mixture to fire and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
- Stir in cream and heat on medium fire for 5-10 minutes–be careful not to boil.
- Add croutons before serving!
