KOSHER SALAD RECIPES

LOUISA’S VINEGAR CARROTS
with TOASTED SESAME SEEDS |
INGREDIENTS:
|
· ˝ cup Sesame Seeds
(white or black)
· 1 Garlic Clove, minced
· 2 Tbs. Vinegar, White
· 2 Tbs. Vinegar, Rice
“KOSHER”
· 1 Tbs. Honey “SPAIN”
· 1 Tbs. Sesame Oil,
toasted “KOSHER”
· 1 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
· Sea salt
· 1˝ lb. Carrots, cut
lengthwise - thin ribbons
· 1 cup Cilantro, fresh,
tightly packed (√ for infestation) |
INSTRUCTIONS:

1.
Heat a small skillet over medium-high heat. 2.
When hot, carefully add the sesame seeds and alternate
between shaking the pan and stirring the seeds. 3.
When the seeds start to pop, after a couple of
minutes. 4. Transfer them to a plate and let cool
to room temperature. 5. In a small bowl, whisk
together the garlic, vinegars, honey, sesame oil, red
pepper flakes, sesame seeds, and 1 teaspoon salt.
6. Pour the dressing over the carrots. 7. Add the
cilantro, and toss well. 8. Season with salt, to
taste. 9. Serve.
YIELDS: 4 servings.
