INGREDIENTS: |
|
|
- 9 eggs, separated
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup cake meal
- 1/3 cup potato starch
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
|
|
|
DIRECTIONS: |
|
|
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg white, adding
1/3 cup sugar
- In a second large bowl, beat yolks, and add the
remaining cup of sugar. Beat well. Add the cake meal,
potato starch and cooked, mashed compote.
- Then add the nuts and fold in the beaten egg whites.
- Bake in an un greased 10-inch tube pan for one hour
at 325 degrees F. or microwave at 375 degrees for 10
minutes.
- Invert to cool.
- Serves 8 - 10
