DOUBLE BISCUITS with APRICOT JAM (DAIRY
&/or PARVE)
INGREDIENTS: |
-
12.5 oz. flour
-
7.75 oz. sugar
-
7.75 oz. milk &/ or(PARVE
creamer)
-
3.75 oz. butter &/or
margarine (USA Parve)
-
3 teaspoons baking powder
-
4 eggs
-
8.75 oz. apricot jam
-
3.5 oz. almonds
-
1 teaspoon vanilla flavor

INSTRUCTIONS: |
Preheat
oven to 350 F
-
Sift the flour and
mix it well with the baking powder.
-
Put it in a bowl.
-
At the center, make
a pit . Add the yolks, sugar, vanilla
and the melted butter.
-
Knead all
ingredients, adding some milk until
mixture becomes a soft dough.
-
Leave it for 10
minutes and then cut it into pieces.
-
Roll every piece to
3/8 inch thickness, then cut with a
small round cutter into biscuits.
-
Place biscuits on a
large baking pan.
-
Brush them with an egg
white bath.
-
Place at the center
of each biscuit a half almond and bake
them for 15 minutes.
