Recoleta Cemetery Non Jewish
Cemetery with few Jewish (and / or Free Masons) Grave. There
are at least 2 known Grave sites
in Recoleta Cemetery, that are decorated with a Star of David.
One of them is the gravesite of the Family Grave Tomb of
Benjamin Gregorio Breitman, that has a
Cross on his gravestone, but
there was a Magen David on the Benjamin Breitman Family
Tomb, until 2010. At that time, the
Magen David was removed or "fell down" and in November
28, 2012 was reported by
Jonathan
Evans as "back". The date
05/03/2012 is written on the gravestone, and the photo on
FAG was made by Errete, on that same day, 5 Mar 2012, probably
a relative, or someone who's connected to the Niftar.
One Cemetery Record on Find A Grave:
1.
Benjamin Gregorio Breitman, Birth: unknown, Death: 4 Mar
2012, Argentina. ( see on stone: 5 march). Burial: Cementerio de la
Recoleta, Buenos Aires, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires,
Capital Federal, Argentina. Plot: S 17 T 44 Sep. 5 y 6 See
Photo
of Benjamin Breitman family Tomb According to some
articles, the tomb is
empty because the Breitman’s family has
moved
all caskets to another cemetery. Needs verification on all facts.
The Uribe y Lecea Family:
According to an
article
on the Recoleta Cemetery Website, there was a discovery of 2
Stars of David in this family grave site. Recoleta Cemetery

-
Recoleta Cemetery: The Uribe Y Lecea Family - Another Star
of David - July 30, 2010 - There are 2 comments
regarding the question of Jewish heritage regarding the
graves with Magen David in this cemetery, and specifically
about the Uribe Y Lecea Family.
Mario Braun, on March 06,
2011, suggests that the Magen David was added as part of
the symbols of the Free Masons, and not as a Jewish
Symbol. Jonathan Evans, on November 28, 2012, reports
that the Star of David plaque at the Benjamin Breitman
Family Grave, is back.
